The name given by Syd Barrett to his new group was taken from two obscure names out of his own record collection, both Georgia blues players. The first was Pink Anderson; the second was Floyd "Dipper Boy" Council.

I believe their first album was released in 1958.

I was lucky enough to make it to their 1994 Division Bell concert.

Arnold Layne/See Emily Play was their first single. They had 5-6 singles out before they released "piper" but it was their first LP.

I saw them in Philly in the last 80's sometime.. Right after they released "Learning to Fly"..

I hate concerts but that was an awesome concert.. With a buzzcut haircut, i quite stood out at that concert.
