A Maryland teenager has been charged with murder
for allegedly poisoning a love rival's soft drink with cyanide.

Ryan Furlough, 18, slipped the substance into his friend's drink
as they played computer games in Furlough's basement in
suburban Baltimore, police said.

Benjamin Vassiliev, 17, went into respiratory arrest and later died.

Police found a letter in Vassiliev's house indicating that Furlough
was in love with Vassiliev's girlfriend, according to court papers.

Furlough told officers he had been thinking about killing
Vassiliev since October, the documents said. He also
faces reckless endangerment and poisoning charges,
a police spokeswoman said.

Police said he bought the cyanide by phone
and told the chemicals company he planned
to use it to plate metal.

Furlough's parents, Susan and Tom, apologised
in a statement issued by their son's lawyer.

"We are so sorry for the pain and suffering our son
Ryan has caused Ben and his family," it read.

"Our hearts go out to all those individuals involved."

Damn Games

I've heard about some crazy love triangles myself in EQ.
And no they don't mention the game this person played.
But im still searching for the info. And writing a letter
to the editor to try and get the info.

Default What's wrong with todays youth

Hmmm,

(excuse me while I get my soapbox out)

I bet that if his worthless parents got out the leather strap a few more times, he wouldn't have done this.
Kids today have no accountability. Luckily he's 18 and will probably get life in prison or (if we're lucky) the wonderful chair ride.
I don't know if they were playing EQ or not but there is no reason, other than habitual KSing, to kill your friend.

Thank you.

I have several friends that are cops... they get calls ALL the time, where the kid is "Out of Control". They go to talk to the parents and the parents ALL say the same thing...

"I dont know what to do! I cant hit the child, I'll go to Jail!"

Thats whats wrong... they THINK they will get into trouble for disciplining the child. You know what the law states (Ok, this is Texas, so might be different in YOUR state )... Law says you cannot commit "Grievous Bodily Harm". That means Blood, bruising, broken bones, etc are out. IT DOES NOT MEAN APPLYING A LEATHER BELT TO THE BUTTOCKS IS WRONG. Sheesh.

Hell, one officer told a parent that the law says she was required to provide food, clothing and shelter... says NOTHING about Air Conditioning (remember, this is Texas )... so her son then got to live in the Garage for 3 weeks, in the dead of summer. He is now a model child

Maybe we need some "Ass whippin'" lessons in todays schools...
