Default Due to the lack of customer service from EverQuest...

.. I have made the decision to cancel my EverQuest account, and to perma delete Orea. This decision dose not come easly as I have made many of friend. Tho many if not all do not know the Person behind Orea you know the whim's of the Player. I will miss you all.

Orea has for seen her death as she will be consumed by a firey breath from where the world was first born. The Great Phoenix god has Deemed her will to the ground and sky, for it will be done.

Good bye to one and all I will log in all this week to say my personal goodbye's. Hope to see you all one last time.

Though I never met you, sorry to hear you go. It is not a secret that SOE's customer support is very lacking. Is it an issue that you friends/guild cannot help resolve? Just making sure you aren't leaving over something that can be easily corrected by a little generousity.

Default Just as an FYI as to why I am ...

Just go Here and click the search button and type 628 in the top field. You will get at least 100 posts of people having the same issue as Fopid and I. It's a Game issue and I doubt there going to fix it and time soon, as any time any one new post something about it. They get the FORM Response.

Hello EQCustomerChump,
We are trying to determine what can cause these intermittent crashes, but there does not seem to be a unified solution. The handful of board members that have resolved this on their own have reported a variety of fixes. In order of likelihood:

1. Use a certain version of VIA chipset drivers. v4.42 was reported to work, whereas the new v4.43 does not.
<a href="http://downloads.viaarena.com/drivers/4in1/4in1442v(a)p2.zip" target="_blank">http://downloads.viaarena.com/drivers/4in1/4in1442v(a)p2.zip</a>
2. Follow the memory test instructions in the General Troubleshooting thread.
<a href="http://boards.station.sony.com/ubb/everquest/Forum3/HTML/031296.html" target="_blank">http://boards.station.sony.com/ubb/e...ML/031296.html</a>
3. Lower the AGP multiplier setting in your BIOS.
4. Switch to an older generation video card. (such as Geforce4 to Geforce2 or TNT2 card)

Feel free to try any or all of the above suggestions, and please inform me of the results.

Hello EQCustomerChump,
When you receive the error EQGAME caused an invalid page fault , that means you need to delete all of the files in the EverQuest folder that have 0KB in size. That is all I can tell from what you have posted.

Before I can begin troubleshooting, I need to know more about your system. Post your system files as described in the following thread. Please read the entire instructions and post all of the information requested.

That sucks

Sorry to see you go, but I think you are making the right decision to cut your losses. EverQuest can do no wrong in the eyes of SOE, so it must be your computer....and his computer, and her computer, and their computers.....

Funny how your current system specs can be compatible all the way up until the latest patch, and then suddenly "It seems your computer is not compatible with this..." the next one. If it wasn't compatible....why did it work fine for the past 3 YEARS?

/bye

Give it a month, then come back and the chances are it'll be fixed, or you'll find that whatever versions of DirectX, the Detonator drivers (presumably), or the VIA stuff are out by then will sort it out.

This is hardly the first time that technical problems have crept into EQ and it's frankly unrealistic to expect them all to be either avoided or instantly fixed. Seems like an overreaction to quit because of it, though.
