Default Singaporean Guild?

Harlow there, I'm a Singaporean chap who's looking for a Singaporean populated guild on EMarr. Any? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/embarassed.gif ALT=""> )

Divine Grace would be a good starting point... if they won't accept you they probably know what guilds are active in your time zone.

Default asian guilds

Divine Grace is mainly Euro based, but has several Japanese players who play euro times (as well as several US players who play euro times).

There is a japanese coalition of guilds (EMJP, EMarr Ja Panese) is made up of several guilds and several individual players. I believe they have their own special sort of hierarchy, but I have never figured it out. The guilds that I can think of off the top of my head are: Angel Tears, Blaze of Glory, Lallapalooza, and there are a few more but they escape me. You may want to check in the VS/Trakanon post to see who an officer is (officers of any guild generaly post there).

Aye Parum, I said Divine grace as a starting point as I remember Eldritch (a member of MF from Singapore) saying that several of her RL friends were in that guild.

Just a bump as I'm curious about this topic too - I may have to move to Asia for work reasons next year. Anyone know any other guilds that have GMT+8 players?

The vast majority of the Singapore based players in DG left the game as far as I know. The guild is now mostly Euro time based.

So you were right Laoke. It was a Singapore based guild for a long time. Lots of people don't remember since DG was mostly rebuilt after they left the game. I was in DG for 1 1/2 years until last December. As I recall they left sometime early this year.

Thanks for the update Ghia. I used to know quite a few people from Singapore on Emarr in mid 1999, as well as the old UO Atlantic server. It's sad to hear the news though... I wonder if there are others left on Emarr aside from the ones in Ater Draconis.

There are quite a few Australian and New Zealand players around. We are on a similar time zone to Asia. Last I heard, DG had 22% of its members from our part of the world. You can check this on thier website.

For a mid to semi high level guild, Heart of Fenris has a lot of Aussie and NZ'ers in it.

Yeah, there are a few NZ E-Marrians around. You can blame me and Repentance for that.

For about 6 months after release, the only place in New Zealand that carried Everquest seemed to be the store I worked retail in. Naturally, if a customer brought EQ, I'd give them a little advice, including the 'try the E-Marr server, that's the one I'm based out of.'

Repentancen was a RL friend of mine and got me into E-Marr.

So, if you brought your copy of EQ from Quay Computers in Wellington NZ in 1999, chances are you got it from me. I imagine this is how a crack dealer feels : )
