Default Favorite Loony Movies

I love loony movies.

What are some of your favorite loony movies?

I'm not talking about your everyday comedy, but movies with a lot of lunacy.

My favorites (in order) are:

1. Arsenic and Old Lace
2. Ace Ventura, When Nature Calls
3. Rat Race
4. Bringing up Baby
5. Hear no Evil/See no Evil

My Man Godfrey
The Ladykillers (with Alec Guinness)
most Marx Brothers
occasionally old movies like The Philadelphia Story, Bringing Up Baby, His Girl Friday, Father Goose, etc.

Those are the "loony" movies I tend to like. They have a different feel than even Monty Python, not to mention other normal comedies.

God's Must Be Crazy

Johnny Dangerously

Cheech and Chong movies

Strange Brew

The Adventures of Baron von Munchausen

Time Bandits

Killer Clowns from Outer Space

Seems like most are 80's movies.

Oh I gotta add a couple more........

Cabin Boy

And of course a 70's cartoon....

Fritz the Cat

But my nomination for looniest, oddest, most whacked out, trippy, wtf is that movie has got to be the 70's Sci-Fi cartoon Fantastic Planet featuring big blue aliens and their little human slaves set to the sound of French acid-jazz rock.

Some of these arnt comedies but do make me chuckle when I watch them.

Ok, Im done now.

I thought from the title this was about Looney Tunes. Thought for a moment more then just myself was appreciative of Chuck Jones, Tex Avery and other amazing directors and artists of the series.

Oh well.

Has there been a really good lunacy (stupid) movie made recently? The 80's seems to be kind of the stupid movie decade.

I dont get to watch stupid movies much anymore, my gf hates them and hard to enjoy them with "that is so stupidhow can you watch that" goin on all the time =(

So, I shall live vicariously thorugh memories.
