![]() Hello all. I want to throw this question out there and hopefully get a response. I want to know how is it possible to make a quicktime movie within EQ. I've seen a couple of them out there but I am curious as to what I would need to do to make one. I just finished a class in Adobe After Effects and I want to bring in a movie of Eq in the background as part of the project. I have a few ideas running around in my head and if I can pull this off I'd be one happy camper. Peace, Dray |

![]() The easiest way would be to have a video card that has S-video out and record to a VCR. Then capture the files back into your computer and away you go. Otherwise, you would need software to do a live capture of your screen. I don't know of any that could do that but you might check out www.techsmith.com. I know they have some screen grab utils and they might have something that would encode your frames as rendered from your vid card to a .avi or .mov file. Obviously you can't capture with AE but you should be able to get something captured in another program and then just import it into AE. -Khaav PS. AfterEffects Rocks! =) |

![]() Heh, i'm sure my Guildmates knew I couldnt resist getting in on this thread.. Personally, I use a Xtasy Nvidia 64mb card with svideo-out, running to my 2nd computer with a Dazzler capture device.. so, all i have to do is click "record" whenever I want to take a vid-clip for my collection. Then I use Adobe Premiere 6, Goldwave (audio) and Photoshop to make the finished product.. I particularly like this one.. and I'm currently working on another with more of a Story to it.. www.theholystorm.org/down...olling.wmv Below is the link to the first movie I made, dedicated to the Legends of Storm Keep.. www.theholystorm.org/down...ystorm.wmv More of my KHS movies available at www.theholystorm.org/files.htm |

![]() Great work Jethal. What I am thinking of doing is filming my brother against a solid back ground then importing him into an everquest backdrop using Adobe After Effects. I have a few ideas on what the movie is going to be like but was having that problem with the video capture from EQ. Anyways I have a Mac sitting right next to my PC. I understand they are different operating systems but I wonder if I could do something similar to what you are doing. I am currently using an Nvidia Geforce4 MX440 with 64 megs. Not too sure if it has a video out but will check when I get home. Anyways, thanks for the great idea and keep up the excellent work! Dray |
