![]() Whats your favoirte off the wall thing to add to Peanut Butter and bread? Some crazy things people do with that stuff, like PB and Tomatoes PB and Pickles It gets MUCH worse im sure. Also, what are some other crap that people don't normally put together? Sweets, and Salts... I gotta imagine that some of us have made some crazy things while sitting at the puter on a raid and need to whip something up nice and fast. Kama :rollin: |

Agreed Banton. Nothing beats a Jam Sandwich when you're out of chocolate. ( Jelly Sandwich for the clueless ) But my favourite peanut butter recipe is: Two slices of bread, 1 small block of cheddar cheese, 1 tub of crunchy peanut butter. 1 tub of smooth peanut butter. 1. Place the two pieces of bread into the toaster. Make sure if you have one of those 2 slot toasters ( 4 rounds of bread ) you remember to turn off the rear part lest ye cremate the buggery out of your toast. 2. Whilst the toast is er.....toasting grate your block of cheddar. 3. Remove the toast from the toaster and liberally spread the crunchy peanut butter on one round of toast. 4. Top with the grated cheese and add the second round of toast. 5. Throw the tub of smooth peanut butter into the bin because that shit is nasty. |

I never have had to stoop so low that I have put together random things, most often when I am raiding and need something fast I get some baggett and slice it in half the long way, put some salt pepper and olive oil on it, slice up some tomatos and cheese (motzerella is good but most will work), toss on a some basil or a few leaves of baby spinitch and i am good to go. If it is during the winter that changes of course... and i don't really remember what I did last winter, prolly just a really heavy beer or three, which might be why I don't remember what I did... |

PB with Miracle Whip and slice of cheese(when younger I'd thrown in honey and jam as well for the gross out factor...actually not that bad...but slimey). Grilled PB & J is good too. |

I'm allergic to peanuts (i.e. no peanut butter, peanuts, or anything with peanut oil in it) But I if I'm strapped for cash (which 7 out of 10 times I am) I resort to apple sauce with cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar mixed in on top of cottage cheese. =) |

My wife goes for the PB&Banana thing. I prefer Marshmello fluff myself, but I haven't had one of those since I was 8. |

I don't have this but perhaps once a year because I find it terrifyingly sweet: mix- really well- peanut butter and a really good syrup (I'm a fan of pure maple syrup) and spread that on toast. My mother loves cocoa and cream sandwiches. Just the thought makes me shudder. Too rich for me! ~Shaz |

Peanut butter tastes good on ice cream ![]() Also, a good one for the sweet/salty mix is saltine crackers dipped in sherbet. *shrug* My great grandma introduced me to this one, who knows how people figure these things out. |

I have a couple of PB sandwich combos I eat regularly.... Numero Uno! PB and Banana sandwich! (especially good on Pepperidge farms Crunchy Oat bread) 2. PB sandwich with thin apple slices on it. (try it, it's really good) 3. PB and jelly (My jelly of choice would be Wild Berry fruit spread from Archer Farms, its a Target brand.... friggin AWSOME stuff on anything) ... also my favorite PB is the non-hydrogenated stuff from Smuckers (good for ya too) Peanut Butter OWNS JOOOO! ...... As far as peanut butter goes.... PB and Bacon sandwiches PB and Bologna sandwiches (even better if the bologna is fried) PB and Ham sandwiches PB and Apple sandwiches PB and Pear sandwiches (the last 2 are even better with some honey added) PB and Banana sandwiches (also very good if grilled with butter) PB on Ice Cream (many flavors work well) PB on Pasta/Noodles (some chopped up kosher dill pickles put on top of this is also good) PB on French Fries/Fried Potatoes (a little cayenne pepper for spice is good) (the last 3 work best if the PB is thinned out with some milk to make a sauce) Mixed into Oatmeal/Cream of Wheat/Grits Then there is just eating it out of the jar with a spoon and squeezing some honey or chocolate syrup (hershey's special dark being my prefered chocolate syrup) on it |

From my own personal experiences jelly is what the Americans call what we call Jam. A fruit preserve or compote. Have I got something wrong here? |

Jelly is basically just fruit juice and pectin. Jam usually has fruit in it and isnt as thick as jelly, kinda like a cheap version of fruit preserves. |
