Do a search on EQ log - and look for a log splitter - there are a few out there - and most work quite well.

I suggest to check editors section in shareware collections for an editor that can handle any file size (i.e. that doesnt read whole file into memory all time). I like 'Ultra Edit' and it has all features. Its probably kinda oversized just to check EQ log files (its a big developers editor with all features), but eh its shareware, why not check it out. Other good 'has it all' editor i remember is TextPad.

Good luck. Avis Suprema

Textpad is what I use, it doesn't seem to have any problems even with really huge files (though beyond 10mb or so it'll slow down a touch).
Of course, for realtime-parsing reasons I also keep my log file small these days
