![]() A man has been found dead after playing computer games non-stop for 86 hours. According to reports, the 24-year-old South Korean identified only by his last name Kim, died at an internet café in Kwangju, 160 miles south-west of Seoul. In a salutary warning to gaming addicts, Korean police say the man had been at his computer since last Friday and had not eaten or slept since. It is believed he collapsed in the café and was later found dead in the toilet. |

A man was shot outside a gas station last night. That was just well, wrong. And sad. A man just decides 'net is more important than eating/sleeping/LIVING!? that's not just sad. That's pathetic. And I don't tend to speak unkindly against the dead, but that really is ... deserving. Iwka |

![]() Apparently if you live in South Korea and your family name is "Kim," you're fucked. Article from March 10, 2000 |

![]() What was the name of that game again? I may have to look into it. Must be better than EQ to marathon that long. All Kidding aside, when EQ first came out, I was big time addicted. I didn't go without sleep or miss work because of it, but I did let alot of important RL stuff get ignored. Family, friends, housework etc... If the poor guy could have held on a little longer he would have 1) reached the burnt out stage and 2) been able to come back to his game with a different view. |
