I've heard cybering has many rewards if you invest the time to get into it. So I've heard. |

To hell with cybering; try a real woman sometime. Or a man; your call. Best skill for EQ? Use someone else's credit card to pay for the subscription. |

well this is my opinion on skills the ones that seem useless now, get HUGE hits in later expansions, let me try and give examples imo... before sol, it was jewelcraft that was the booming market, when pop came out it became smithing because of the cultural armor and tinkering became well known for the geerlocks with pop fletching is getting a lot of hits tailoring was good with velious but has died out now basically pick one you like and stay with it, especially if it hasnt been a 'boomer' yet, im sure it will come given time, like say baking maybe ? /shrug just my opionins though |

I agree with Zarney here. Choose something that you enjoy (or at least can tolerate the endless click of the combine button). You may end up surprised with something nice you can create. When I started tinkering, there were only a few really useful items. A few expansions later, and now I can make a lot of people happy with tinkered doodads. Whatever is making money now will take you a long time to get your skill up. Just choose a skill to GM and hope you're in the right place at the right time when the new recipes hit =) Wenjii |

Not exactly true there wenjii, one week yesterday I was a 68 Fletcher. Yesterday (only my 2nd day clicking away) I hit 216 and made 2 Nightmarewood Compound Bows (For someone else and totally gratis ... that means free) it only took about 5 total hours to go from 2 to 216, and about 17k pp .. 16k of which was from 202 to 216. Now taking orders on bows btw.. send me a tell ![]() |

Yeah, I'm kinda stuck between Fletching, Blacksmithing, and being a jewelcrafter. But then again, i'm making a ranger and I could even use the bows and stuff from fletching. But I really like what I've heard about blacksmithing.. Anyway...Thanks for the ideas! |

Have you checked out EQTraders? There is a very detailed discussion in that site's forum on how to hit the 202 mark in Fletching without spending very much platinum (I think the rough figure was 200pp). I have no idea what kind of a bank account you have (whether or not you can do the 0 to 216 in a day thing), but I was able to get my fletching up with a few pp here and there (I never used to loot and for some odd reason I was always broke <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/embarassed.gif ALT=" ![]() Stay safe ![]() |

Take your race into concideration as well. If you're a Half Elf there really isn't anything worthwhile you can smith so smithing wouldn't be a great idea to GM for a Half Elf. I'd say go for a TS that is going to benefit your race/class the most and if later on VI adds more recipes for your race in another trade there is an AA you can spend points on to take it up later and get it to GM. No matter which trade you choose to take up it's going to cost you some major PP to GM (brewing and baking being the cheapest I think). |

Braydin, Flething & for profit skill-ups were nerfed on 10/31 with the Halloween patch. But, to answer your question: Class 6 Wood arrows (w/ ceramic vanes) were generally profitable with a Geerlok on skill-ups up to 202, after you had trivialed the previous recipes. Certain compound bow combines (with cams) were also profitable previous to 10/31. You can read more about it in several threads in this forum at www.eqtraders.com pub147.ezboard.com/feqtra...rfletching The sell-back prices were lowered. As to profit making tradeskills: Beginning tailoring! Farm spiderling silks to make silk threads. Farm lion/cat/bear/etc pelts. Combine LQ pelt+silk thread in sewing kit=leather padding. Sell stacks leather padding to other tradeskillers. Intermediate tailoring is generally a money pit. Advanced tailoring can be profitable, but it is generally only for the die-hard tradeskill addicts. Take care, |
