Default Extended benefits rejected

The Senate by a single vote rejected an election-year effort Tuesday to extend federal unemployment benefits

Guess who was the only senator not voting ? You got it:

Senator John Kerry

Whoops.........

Of course he wasnt present, but the point is that he could have been the one to make the vote pass...of course he has missed the first 22 votes in the Senate before showing up to vote on what else..... Gun control, so I guess its not surprising he wasnt there. But this is supposed to be a Democratic issue, the chance to ease the MISERY index by extending benefits, yet he missed it. It also had a tack on bill that would have increased corporate taxes! Yet another Democratic platform issue but he missed that chance too..

I just think its ironic and typical.

Maybe, just maybe, Democrats aren't about handouts and senseless tax hikes. Can you provide a bill number for this piece of legislation? Oh well, nevermind. I guess we might as well get used to the Kerry bashing now since it will be going on for at least 4 years and 6 months.

Yeah, it's not like he's on the campaign trail and can only be in one place at at time.

Its a damn shame that they forced him to run for president. Its really interfering with the job he is getting paid for.

And yet if he wasn't a sitting senator you'd be in a huff about his lack of experience.

This is an election year- this is going to happen with any candidate running for one office while holding another. Get over it for fuck's sake.

I'd be against an extension of unemployment benefits too. Isn't it 52 weeks anyway?

Perhaps he should consider stepping down as a Senator to better focus on his run for President.

Kiebler, maybe Bush should step down as President to better focus on his run for re-election.

Bush is stepping down. On Kerry's head.
The election is a Shoe-In for Bush.
