You dont want me to comment on some of the shit that was mentioned in the entire thread. I will just let you read this Draft. The last section on this news clip is pretty closely tied into what was mentioned within this thread.

I'm sorry if your parents never told you that you were better than something, or if they trained you like a monkey to "Do what you are told because it's your duty"
So, anyone that doesn't share your elitist point of view either weren't loved enough as a child or are incapable of thinking for themselves? Good lord you have problems.
One politician's opinion that I should do something is in no way better than my opinion that I don't.
In other words, authority figures mean nothing to you if you disagree with them. Nice logic.
Unfortunatley, if you are bitter with everyone who decides not to make the same choice (Such as ex-president Clinton for reasons VERY SIMILIAR TO MINE)
Oh yeah, THERE'S a guy you want to emulate: a draft-dodger who cheated on his wife and then lied to the American public. Nice role model you got there.
I find it typical that I can respect your opinions, even if I disagree, yet you "patriots" resort to namecalling and malicious slanders.
then just hang out with other chimpanzees that were all trained to think like you.
Thank you for respecting my, and the other "chimpanzees'" opinions without resorting to name-calling

About the draft I think the Chargers did the right thing by drafting Eli Manning and then trading him to the Giants for Phillip Rivers. I also think the Detriot Lions had an excellant draft. And to top it off I was pleased more National Champion LSU Tigers were drafted than other SEC team.

Damn, I wish I could have seen Manning's face when the Chargers announced their decision to draft him. Course, he might have already known he would be traded, but if not, that would have been priceless.

Now the questions are: Will Eli be asking for #1 draft pick money and will the Giants pay it? If he does than will Rivers also have a case for #1 draft pick money?

Eli will get top dollar certainly, and Rivers not much less. I think this hurts Manning in the long run though: he had this all-American, wholesome family thing going but he came into this draft whining about how he'd never play for SD. He better perform well or they will eat him alive in the media for the Eric Lindros act he pulled.

Browns did pretty well, but I honestly think they traded away too much. We really could have used Rothlisberger but Pittsburgh picked him up, so no chance.
