Default Impartial? You be the judge.

Supreme Court Justice Scalia is close personal friends with Vice President Cheney. Three weeks after the court accepted a case directly involving Cheney's activities, Scalia and Cheney went on a Duck hunting trip. Now Scalia is refusing to recuse himself from the case. It seems to me that his impartiality in the case can be reasonably questioned and that he should step aside.

Scalia isn't going to recuse himself. Reagan appointed him and he has some favors to do for his Republican buddies. He will be there for Cheney when push comes to shove.

I guess if Ginsburg doesn't have to recuse herself from cases in which NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund is involved. Why should Scalia have to recuse himself from this case?

Thank God for Scalia. With all the liberals on the Supreme Court, Scalia and Thomas are the only hope for the conservatives.

Let's hope he wouldn't excuse himself. He was placed on the bench of the highest court in our nation and he should be man enough to make impartial decisions. Don't worry guys, he'll vote his conscience

Caelie, I don't want him to vote his conscience. I want him, and every judge, to vote according to the Constitution.
