Herpes is a contagious disease, (You have to catch it from someone, can be your mother during birth)

The afflictions Evelle mentioned are genetic disorders. (You are born with them)

Here is a list of the things important to me that I want to hear about in debates (meaning NOT those 30 second advertisements):

* Healthcare costs: This is #1 on my list... including solutions for rising healthcare costs, Medicare, senior medications, etc.
* Economy: The whole gambit from job creation/outsourcing to tax cuts and inflation (or lack thereof)
* Military: Expenditures, war on terrorism, the draft
* International Relations: Israeli/Palestinian peace work, North Korea, patching things up with allies (Spain/France/etc)
* Iraq: Turnover of government, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Intel failures

Yeah, I understood that. I was actually being humorous.

Nevermind the WMD's, the economy, and questionable governtment contracting. These are the topics that will ACTUALLY get the most focus over the course of the campaigns, by both the candidates' individual camps AND the media at large:

1. Who has the best hair?

2. Who has experimented with what illegal substance when they were younger?

3. What is each candidate's choice of breakfast cereal?

4. Boxers or briefs?

5. Any off-color remark ever made by any intern working for either candidate.

6. How does each candidate fits the stereotypical labels "liberal," "conservative," and "communist?"

7. Who told better jokes on Leno and Letterman?

8. Can either candidate mention the nation of Djibouti without giggling?

9. A train leaves St. Louis at 9 AM, traveling east at 87 mph; and another train leaves Pittsburgh at noon, traveling west at 125 mph. When will the trains collide, and which candidate can produce better photo-ops and sound bites when it happens?

Finally, and most importantly:
10. Which candidate can kiss the most asses and promise the most voters the greatest number of things they think they want, while appealling to the lowest concievable common denominator and sacrificing any last vestiges of integrity he might had remaining, regardless of long-term repercussions or outright implausability?

I didn't know that Ulu.

Sorry to burst your bubble Lur, but as a soccer mom I really don't know much about sexually transmitted diseases. Talk to me again in about 6 years when my sons are teenagers I am sure I will have motivated myself to learn more about them so I can give them accurate information so they can be informed about thier choices and risks. For now though I only have the fuzzy information I gained from health films in school. Since you seem to need help though I am sure your family dr can help you or even try a goggle search.

I don't really know much about the diseases I mentioned beyond knowing that people of that racial descent have a greater chance of having it or being a carrier.

Evelle, you felt the need to flame me over humor for what reason? That's right, you are retarded. NM. No need to answer the question.

That wasn't a lame ass attempt at flaming? I admit, it was a pretty sad shot, but it was a flame.

She knew that I wasn't looking for advice about herpes.

/shrugs

Seems pretty tit-for-tat to me. (No pun intended, but it's a pretty funny one anyway. )

Of all the people on here, I think Aronir hit it on the head.

Actually, the real question is, which state will the survivors be buried in?
