Default The FCC and You

There's many reasons I'm really irritated by the "hayday" the FCC has been having as of the beginning of February. Until a broadcasting corporation finally says "enough is enough" and takes them to court, the FCC will continue to do what it has been in the last couple months... because people are letting them get away with it.

The FCC is driving people nuts with their vague rules regarding broadcasting now and throwing fines where there would have been none before. It used to be up to the local community to decide what was appropiate for their airwaves. Not so anymore.

Many reasons are listed here that have me so irked.

I've already asked Ogmok if it was alright for me to put this link out for everyone to see and decide if they want to take part in this, because in a way it is advertising for them.

It just started last week (to the best of my knowledge) and they're asking for a million signatures for this. There's a breakdown of signatures by state so that federal officials can see where most of the support is coming from. At the moment it's Texas, but the owner of the site is in New York (don't think that has any real relevance except for statistical value at this time).

The website is StopFCC

If you believe that the FCC is going too far, put your signature on it. If not, then don't. Everyone has a right to choose what they think is appropriate or not. Every city/community is different in what they consider appropriate for their area.

Okay, I'm done

I'd like a website where I can sign in support of the FCC. Anyone know one?

Don't worry.. the FCC is trying to fry the small fish too..

All over a 10-watt station that can't even broadcast more than a mile or so from the station. Granted, what rfb is doing is illegal, it would take a month of sundays, and then some, for them to even get their application for a license looked at, then there's no guarantee that it would get approved.
