Default Didn't want idiots like this teaching our kids anyway

http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/fc/...hool_showing_3

Sidestepping the obvious separation of church and state...

What kind of Idiot shows kids an R rated film in school?

What kind of moron shows kids a video of a film that has not been released on video?

And like I said, not even going to ask what kind of fucktard shows kids a religious film in the guise of a history lesson.

Probably one who understands that 90% of American culture and Western civilization is built on the back of Judao-Christian religion.

So you are saying a complete and utter idiot then since all of the great advances of american culture and westernt civilization were initially fought by the church yet these advances and developments happened despite the church's plans and influences.

Religion has never been paving the way for development of culture and civilization. Organized religion is notorious for fighting change every step of the way. If religion were the true guide to our culture and civilization we would all be catholic in america, well actually we never would have sailed across the atlantic since the church clearly stated that the earth was flat and there was nothing over here.

Judeo-christianity has its place in teaching morals to our children by fear of hell (or fear of falling from gods grace), since we are all too stupid or too lazy to teach our children understanding and compassion without using fear.

Ulujain,

The Ghee? It's Ghie FYI. At least know who you side with.

All religons? Nice to know that the spelling of religions has changed also.
What's next?

Ghia say's,
What kind of Idiot shows kids an R rated film in school?
What kind of feminist organization teaches 5-year olds about Homosexuality?

What kind of moron shows kids a video of a film that has not been
released on video?
What does it have to do about a video of a film that has not been released on
video?

If it's on video, then why does film matter if it's a video of a film being
released on video? hrrmph.
And like I said, not even going to ask what kind of fucktard shows kids a religious film in the guise of a history lesson.
Really! How dare them! How dare history be presented in a movie from
such a book!
How dare someone make a movie from a book!

You sound like children are made to see it. Oh wait, their made to listen
to the indoctrination of the socialist propaganda. But not the bible. *Wink* Got it.

Default What we didnt tell you

Oh man the boards are ON FIRE with this religious stuff. Well here we go I got some nice points for ya. And I'm going to fire them off here as far as it is concerning Church and state and God and Schools. Im going to leave where the rest of this went alone. Cus well thats the problem in this country we get off on tangents.

In the United States we live in today it is a melting pot of religions as much as it is people. Now, leaving behind the religions that would be considered taboo in this conversation alone (for now no promises though) lets consider the Muslim children in school today. Now we will put aside this idiot who had a HOT COPY (steal for jesus) of Passion. The whole point about leaving God out of the school system isn't a attack against the Christian community. It's not all of our fault that the woman who started this crap was of a "taboo" religion. In fact it should be our fault for allowing her to be the first one to speak up about it. Its about a parents right to raise a child to believe in the religion of thier choice. Its also about the parents right to let that child choose and not be swayed by the state as to what it is they should and should not believe in.

If I am a muslim parent I do not want my child praying to jesus christ in schools. I do not want him repeating the lords prayer in the morning or praying to give thanks to christ for thier food at lunch time. However as a responsible adult I aslo dont want to have to subject your child to Allah being prayed to as well. So the lesser of the two evils was to take god out of the school system period.

The individual states and the Government do not have the right to regulate what it is i believe in or do not believe in. So long as the faith which i have is within the confines of the laws of state and government I am of no fault for believeing in what I want. Also the state or government has no right to tell my children about Christ or God or Allah or Buddah in a classroom setting. Now you take those of the religions that are considered "taboo" like Wicca who's diety system is still taught in mythology and history classes, well they get it especially rough. So its very simple. You dont pray around my kids, my kids dont hug your trees.

Now, as far as this country being founded on God and the Freedom of Religion. That freedom of religion has always been "whatever is godlike and what we consider holy". From this Freedom of Religion stand point countless thousands of preachers the country over have condemned people for thier lifestyles for years. Now its gay marriage and how its wrong. Its lesbian couples wanting to adopt children and we hear shit like "they have to recruit new ones cus they cant breed" For the most part those of us in the "other religions" community have remained silent. We won one major victory as to having god taken out of the school systems since they are state funded. Hey if you want you kid to pray in school and want him to be taught about jesus allah or buddah pay to take him to a private school where they dont get funding from the state and can pray anytime they want to. Those of us who dont have the privledge of schools who teach our religions either choose to let our children find their own path or we home school, or we send them to (OMG) Public School. Yeah you never know your little susie may be sitten by my kid.

I personally hope they make a example out of this guy and hit him as hard as they can. If they go soft on him expect this to happen more often and for this to go right back to the supreme court again.

I know it's Ghie. His name reminds me of clarified butter which is called Ghee.

I spelled religion as religion; you're weak Zolmaz; at least I can still read properly when I'm drunk.

I went to a Catholic HS and watched Hoffa and Boiler Room in Economics class.

I got my English teacher in trouble though when I brought in Stinkfist for a project that was supposed to show poetic elements in songs. Guess I shouldn't have tried to make copies of the lyrics in the school office. O well!

Bling, bling, and your all gay!

Yes, that's "your".

/psst: a hint for you Zolmaz. vBulletin will add a "edited by" tag to any post that adds or subtracts from the original re: word count. For me to correct religon to religion, I'd need to add an "i", which would up the word count, prompting an edited by tag.
My post has no such thing, meaning what, my foo-foo drink swilling friend?

Edited: see? "told you so"

Keep the faith Trith.
We can keep them on the run by using their own debating rules against them.
They've already fled the forum. But they, them, whatever, will be back
when we least expect it.

WAR!!
