Heh, it's not so much that. It's that it's like, the primary means of like, communication amongst like, 13 year olds. Between the glitter graphics and the banner ads offering to reveal my secret crush, it's like I never left high school, much less am ready for a reunion.

MySpace is a Hello Kitty cellphone. It might be convenient. It might be popular. It might have a few unique features. But at the end of the day, you're still the grown man talking on the Hello Kitty cellphone. All the justifications in the world won't take that away.

You need justification for a man to have his face all up in a kitty? Hello!

Hell, I'd shoot the Hello Kitty AR-15, might as well get the matching cellphone!

You just made me cry, Brig. I love my MySpace. Only way for me to keep up with my family, and if I get defriended, I know I've been disowned.

Here's Me. Feel free too look about.

I absolutely despise myspace. It is a visual depiction of nails on a chalkboard topped off with a thousand paper cuts drenched in urine. It makes me die a little inside just thinking about it.

Facebook can be ugly as sin, but it's infinitely more tolerable than myspace.

Except that facebook harvests your data...

And of course, most of my friends aren't on facebook. I have to go where they are.

Given the choice between conversing with friends on myspace or being beaten to death with a sock full of fire ants, I'll take the sock! My hatred of myspace is nearly as intense and unreasonable as my hatred of the NY Yankees.

Sounds like someone who doesn't have many friends on Myspace.

Aww, everybody has at least one friend on MySpace! Good ol' Tom! And you can always run around to a bunch of music and fan sites and collect them, so it looks like you have a bunch of friends!

Poor Horm!

I just hope that the current leaders in social networking stay that way. I have a mostly dead Friendster account, an almost barren myspace account for reasons already mentioned (yes, Tom and I are best buds), a LinkedIn account and a fairly active Facebook. I've passed on at least half a dozen others that people I know have signed up for and invited me to. Way too much work.

I was... at one time. What's that got to do with the price of tea in China?

Okay I wasn't going to comment on the odd amount of pics you have of yourself on your myspace ... and I wasn't going to comment on why you needed to get 17 different Senior Year pics done in Highschool ... but when I saw that you created and dedicated an entire myspace page to your dog ... well ... yeah I'm pretty much going to have to say that's a bit out there, bud.

Not really. Since I've had my page for about 4 years, pictures pile up. Besides, it is "MY" Space, dontchaknow. It's about me and my life. Not my ex-'s, not my daughter's. Mine. I am happy with who I am still becoming, and I don't mind sharing. So yeah, you should expect a LOT of pictures of me.

As for my dog. She died. I had her since before my ex-wife and I had our daughter. She was literally our first child. When she died I was devistated. Given that for over 6 years the VA's kept me on some pretty heavy narcotics for pain, I was exceptionally depressed. Making a page helped me through it.

You don't have to understand it, but you don't need to knock it either.

I miss you too. I always kinda regretted leaving EQ right after you finally joined my guild. We didn't really get any time to hang out as guildies - we just harassed each other from afar on the EMarr boards and in /ooc.
