Default What do you guys think?

What do you guys think of the new expansion? I've had some fun in it so far. Anyone else get nightmarish flashbacks of NTOV when they hunted in Ashengate? haha! Complete with new and improved flurry drakes!!

so far I think its great....the grind to 75 wasnt hard .....the aa's are average at best...the content is great from what I See......alot of open zones and seems it will be a nice change from what we have seen the last few expansions

yea I am enjoying it quite a lot, nice to see a lot of normal Monsters again instead of 5 million different versions of dragons and Aliens

no aliens, no other dimensionals................hmmm is this REALLY a SOE product? :P

I wish they'd have finished the Drakkin graphics before releasing the expansion tho, lack of ability to use dyes, shoulderblades protruding from your back, past your armor (not a fan of looking like a junkie convulsing in withdrawl while in combat).

the zones from what I've seen sofar look good, it's nice to see updated versions of mobs we've grown up fighting (pre luclin atleast).

WoW flashbacks with the quest reward window, the horrible char select/creation screens, and the in/out of combat status, but not too horrible (cept the char select/creation screens, I felt like I loaded up Wizardry 4 on MSDoS)

After having 5 billion green con bixies jump me every time I ran through Kith, it's nice to do a few of the quests in blightfall and learn the lore about em and how they are a very agressive race hehe. I probably spent 2 hours in blightfall and stonehive with my enchanter (had to get spells and the new illusion ) and it was alot of fun! LOL you should have seen my train when I dropped invis deep in the castle to try and talk to an NPC that I thought might be a quest type person. By the time I found my way out of the castle, I had to have had 500 bixies on me LOL.

i dont know about the race, but the Drakkin as a model are the weakest effort ever. Crescent Reach may as well have been just another human/halfelf/wood elf starting city WITH FRECKLES!

They needed to expand the max number of tasks you can have to about 99 for this expansion. The WoW-ification (or EQ2-ification) of Everquest continues... Talk to an npc, they hand you gold and experience. Or something very close to that.

On the positive, the zones and mobs look pretty good.

im with caeelar, i was really interested in the whole Bixie thing, and Stonehive is a great looking zone with many tasks and quests to do.(see the Scout camp in Blightfire for most of them mid20s to mid30s) Only problem there, was for regular lowbie xping, every mob drops like 5 quest items that are no trade, hidecorpse hotkey will get some workout there.

The green and lightblue named in some of the lower level zones seem pretty tough to solo. Lots of them want to spawn multiple adds midfight.

The lag factor is rough in some areas. They really pushed the mist/waterfall/oceanspray/lava steam/smoke/ 100k particles per 8x8x8 pixel area in this expansion. Someone tell me how to turn that crap off.
