If you know how or know people who know how to make computers, make your own. If you don't, buy a pc fromDell or try ABS Computers

I built my mom a real nice system for $1000. Could have sold for $2500. I really suggest you building your own, it really isnt difficult there are lots of web pages to guide you through it.

A year ago I might have said build, today I say dell.
My first PC was ABS, I bought from them when they were the cheapest around, before anyone knew about them. It was decent, but the customer support SUCKED, hopefully they have changed. |

if you don't go with self-buld..try www.ibuypower.com fast, and simply the best pre-built prices you'll find anywhere.

Honestly, all it takes to build a computer is confidence and some care. If you want to go that route (waaaaay cheaper and a lot more fun) you can find tons of help for problems online.

Or you can go to Reseller Ratings to find a good reliable company that sells computer parts or computers.

most systems (at least the start from a build ones, not the 400 base build yourself ones) do include a monitor, its usually a 19 inch viewsonic. If there isn't one listed, you need to pick one, yes.
Edit - I should add personally i have never purchased an ibuypower computer, however I have heard nothing but positive comments, and they have a solid number 9.6..or so, on resellerrankings. Did I mention typing on a laptop is a pain in the ass? Last edited by Kelin; 06-20-2003 at 05:22 PM. |
