I have two 4gig corsair DDR3 1600 and two 2gig mushkin 1333 DDR3
It seems to me that I should be able to use them al at 1333? Or is that a bad idea?

It's generally not recommended to mix RAM if you can avoid it. It can work, but even in cases where the settings all match (CAS, voltage, etc.), things may just not mesh. I tend to save mixed RAM situations for getting a low cost, outdated set of hardware running. For high performance, I'd just stick with matched sets.
I've never personally run into damaging errors. The worst I've seen was fixed by simply removing one set.
