Default An update to the '03 Killing of Eonwe, one of MT's greatest players

People of MT prolly remember Eonwe, but for the Emarr peoiple, Eonwe was one of the greatest people ever. He and his mother were killed, and his brother and father were shot in what was at first thought to be a B&E on the house they lived in. Turns out now, it was a plot set up by Eonwes brother.

Why did the non-EQ playing sibling kill them, and try to kill the rest of his family too, though?

I remember when this happened. Was a sad day in Morell Thule's history. Hopefully those who they apprehended are the ones who actually did the crime.

E was prolly the nicest person to ever grace MT. He was in the top guild on the server but you'd never have known it cause he didn't have an elitist bone in his body.

He didn't look at our differences; he looked at what our similarities were. About time something's happening on his case.

Makes you wonder sometimes if the average eq player has a more troubled RL than the average non-eq player.

Probably not the most sensitive thing to post on this thread but I didn't know Eonwe( sp?).

One memory of him in game sticks in my mind. Those who know me know that I am far from uber. I was working on my shawl for Coldari, trying to hunt the threads in Velks when I was probably too low to be there. Eonwe invited me into thier group, let me loot all the threads that dropped and just handed me an amazing (to me) upgrade. I saw the FE tag, but at the time I did not realize that he was the guildleader of the (then) most successful raiding guild on MT.

My thoughts go to his remaining family with my hope that justice can be done.

Sad story :/ Hope they get the perps and toss them in jail for life (though in Texas I spose they're more likely to fry).

Not only insensitive, but utterly stupid, since the killer (his brother) didn't play EQ, yet the victim did. Who's 'troubled' here eh? I mean, aside from your moronic ass.

It was Bart himself Imzy who posted about it...

Fucking creepy..

Bart infrequently played Eonwe, seemed like a nice fellow.

This still hurts my heart and I doubt I will ever lose the name Kevin Michael Whittaker from my mind.

Miss you Eonwe, you were such a sweet kid.

I thought it was his brother who posted that, blurry memory and all...

Wow. Just wow. Murder your family, then post about it on their msg board. He's insane.

If the owners of that board took it down, I would bet the FBI would like to see a copy of it back up, and pronto, too.

I remember doing a lot of AoE with Eonwe in Seb. He was one of MT'd great chanters.

-EDIT-

Sorry, m'lord. It has been several years since I have been on MT <obviously> or EQ for that matter.

After his death, I got in the mood to clean out some toons that I didn't really play anymore. Eonwe was on the Friend's list of one of them for some reason. I can't remember why and it just drives me nuts, but I'm sure its cause he helped my out.
