I vote Chiteng is most entertaining. His insanity could fill a book. Sure it would be a comic book... but he is ALWAYS good for an entertaining read.

Are we that bored now? Nominating threads for recognition?

Leave the popularity contests for the idiots in the other forums, they seem to have nothing else of import to contribute other than the latest 'dorfs were campt and l33t_t4rd_01 ks'd me' stories.

We don't have all that much important to say, either, but it seems to me the brainpower behind some of the keyboards here would have thought up something a little more entertaining than 'Best Thread'.

What the fuck is wrong with you people, you aren't even TRYING!

Post of the year. Drysdale. Obviously by shear volume of both posts and words, he would win. He probably has solicited more replies than anyone else.

Arguer of the year- Furo. He makes good arguments and is not lazy in his posts. He does research and he has a true interest in the subjects he comments on. Does stray from the point at times and if he doesn't fix this, we may not see this award going to him two years in a row. Hormadrune and EC get points as well.

Comeback of the Year - Lurikeen. His banishment and subsequent restatement left a lull in the variety of opinions. Good to have his vociferousness back.

Castrata of the Year- Zolmaz. Someone let him back on the boards but I believe he got his nuts cut off before he got back on.

Best Avatar- Not sure who had it, but there was one of a cute young woman on her hands and knees, heaving as her cleavage was thrusting in and out (shit I'm starting to get too graphic). Co-winner- The stickman killing the other stickman.

Best New Artist - Furo.

Past their prime - Chiteng, sometimes he seems to get bored and he will be incognito for extended periods. Co-winner Bumbleroot. Often uses the same old arguments, plays the incognito card as well.

Sportsman of the Year - Davek. May not be completely right on this, but I don't recall seeing that name either originating insults or receiving insults. Also don't recall seeing Davek being the source of much hatred either for or against. Yet, Davek still contributes fairly and frequently and doesn't shy away from an argument simply to keep peace.

Post of the year- Any Global Warming post. This has probably been the most strongly posted topic of the year. Co-winner- Sports posts. This board has expanded beyond simply politics and has now become wider because of some fun and interesting sports posts. Religion and politics are not the only "taboo" subjects anymore. Sports have started climbing up the ladder as well.

For post of the year, I nominate the teach ID in science vs. Evolution thread.

That thread combines the contentious scientific discussion AND the religious perspective. I think it boiled over into just about every other religious and scientific topic that was out there.

Teaching ID in science was definitely up there, imo.
