Default Heres a different sort of rant...

So im sitting in Halas in one of the rooms with a brew barrel, the best room to make mino hero brews because all the right vendors with the specific ingredients are about a step away from the barrel.

This 41 Barbarian Shaman enters and starts using barrel while im buying some more ingredients, fine no problems i wait. I jump back on when i can and i tell him i have alot of combines to do ill prolly be here for a really loooong time something like 3 hours. I have 8 10 slot bags full of ingredients so all in all i could have sat there all night combining if i wanted to.

He starts begging to use the barrel for 1 combine so i say sure go for it. He then starts under the guise of roleplaying saying i shouldnt be allowed to use this barrel because im not a barb and i dont belong there in halas yadda yadda. So thinking he having a bit of roleplaying fun i illusion myself to barbarian and make a /rude emote at him and say, what were you saying? He took SO much offence to this he kept window on the barrel locked. Called me rude and not a true barb, i asked him to kindly get off the barrel if he isnt combining in it and he states he is going to sit there all night till ive learnt my lesson.

WTF i have lost all respect for roleplayers who continually use the guise of roleplaying just to be malicious to other people. Its 7.45pm here atm where i am and so far he has had barrel locked for about an hour and im getting quite impatient. Its not really about the barrel in essence its about people's behaviour, people need to know where to draw the line.

And for those that suggest i was rude i can confirm hellz yes i was rude - all sorts of insults have been tossed back and forth between me and him. Petitioned and am waiting on a GM's response to this, should be interesting ive never heard of a racist barbarian rant before.

BTW he is the leader of "Na Fianna Breitheamh" and his name is Conaill 41 Barb Shammy.

Well you are welcome in AkAnon any time kind sir...
Just be prepared to duck and not find anything you need for your brewing =)
I will even let you try some of our fine selection of Gnomish spirits.
It has a nice flavor and a pleasent after taste.
Of course we could also use it to make fireworks and then go blow Halas up =)

There is at least two brew barrels in Halas, both are in very close proximity to each other. In addition, there is no good reason to stress over someone displaying the emotional level of a child.

In his defense, there is no way for him to really know if you were role playing back for certain but since I wasn't there, I'll have to take your word for it.

Still, a little maturity goes a long way to solving disputes. <shrugs>

For you grammar nazi's, the first part of the first sentence should read...

"There are at least two brew barrels....."

My apologies.

It's a shame (although predictable) there are grammar nazi's to begin with.

Conaill is the only person to ever /petition me. for anything.

The great offense was killing the tainted and corrupted mammoth in everfrost while it was beating on a very young barbarian. As soon as it became apparent that the very young barbarian was angry at me for killing said mammoths, I buffed them to the extent of my abilites and went on my way. The petition was sent in *after* that, and Conaill proceeded to harass me in /tell (about the sad state of everquest when horrible mean nasty KSers like myself run rampant across norrath) until I put up an afk message "awaiting GM regarding Conaill's petition"

I still don't think he's dealing from a full deck.

Default Halas Brewbarrel

Hail Flick,

Please feel free to use any of the Halas Brew Barrels whenever you feel the urge to make some beverages.

Conaill is but a young Northman, and though our ways are often crude, his behavior was rude in the extreme and not sanctioned by the Master Brewers of Halas.

We of Halas pride ourselves on our ability to be hospitable, and I would like to apologize for his ill treatment of you as a fellow brewer, even if you are not a native of the North yourself.

Many travelers find that the easy access to ingredients and our finely aged barrels convenient. Coupled with the relatively low average population our city it makes Halas an excellent location to brew. I hope that you will come back and not let Conaill's poor manners taint your opinions of our people or our hospitality.

Take care,
Frekkels
Elder Prophet & Master Brewer

(PS: Anyone who /petitions Kalrie for rude behavior has no clue. He deserves to be /ignored.)

Petitioned Kalrie for rudeness?

Okay, I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

He sounds like a teenager. You know, the kind that goes on crusades to "right" every perceived "injustice". Only explanation I can come with for a yahoo who likes to petition every slight offence.

I can't get over it. Petitioned Kalrie for rudeness. *boggle*

Well, you can become leader of a guild for a number of reasons:

1. Your the right person for the job.
2. You want the job.
3. You play alot and have a great grasp on the game.
4. You know how to manage people and egos.
5. You want the challenge of leading a guild.

Then again, you can also become a guild leader if no other guild will take you because your a flaming jerk.

Take a guess which reason I believe placed Conaill in his position.

Sounds like that guy is on a power trip of some sort. The petitioning of Kalrie, the not letting you use the brew barrell. Funny how some nutcases like to use EQ to satisfy their need for power since they don't have it in RL.
