Right, you listed your wife like she was a fucking credential and suggested I educated myself. Fuckwit? You should aspire to such lofty heights.

The writer of that editorial is delusional and here is the proof...

"Ms. Schiavo is not dependent on life support. Her lungs, kidneys, heart, and digestive systems work fine. Just as she uses a wheelchair for mobility, she uses a tube for eating and drinking. "

Terri doesn't "use" anything. She is incapable of using a wheel chair since she lacks the ability and power to at all. She doesn't use a tube for eating and drinking. A tube is plugged into her because she lacks the ability and power to eat on her own.

So the new definition of life is the ability to feed ones self.

In your mind I listed her as such. I simply pointed out that I get to hear the war stories along with the daily grind of a critical care ward. It is called providing context for statements.

So, what's the matter Tardmoon? You upset because I told you to get a little information before you keep spouting off? How was I supposed to know that you are still living with your mother and talk to her on a daily basis about her work? Is she doing critical care like my wife?

I think Terri Schiavo has a better chance at growing a new brain than you do.

Sounds like she is doing long term care for the critically brain injured.

You two are surely the king and queen of the foodcourt. I use to think Lurikeen was the king, but he talks way too much.

Psst caelie how many CAT scans and MRIS did your son have? Terri has had none.
To my knowledge he had a full body CAT scan when he arrived at the ER after the accident. After they confirmed he had broken and dislocated C3,4 and 5, they just took regular x-rays. There was nothing wrong with his brain. His brain was fine, but he couldn't move anything but his eyeballs for 8 days. He didn't have any MRI's to my knowledge. There are two parts to Shepherd Spinal Center, but both share the same courtyard and outside areas where families go to reflect, I guess you could say. One part is for spinal cord injuries and the other is for acquired brain injuries. I have to admit, most of the decision making for life or death came from the Acquired brain injurie side and it was before a feeding tube was ever put in.

According to reports Terri has had alot of CAT scans, just no MRI's because of something they put in her head. According to reports she has had many CAT scans and EEG's and they all come back flat.

Not as far as I'm concerned. There are many people that are paralyzed from the neck down who can't feed themselves, but can lead a perfectly normal life. They're aware of what's going on around them.

False. Terri has had CAT scans. She hasn't had an MRI.

Theresaís neurological tests and CT scans indicate objective measures of the persistent vegetative state. These data indicate that Theresaís cerebral cortex is principally liquid, having shrunken due to the severe anoxic trauma experienced thirteen years ago. The initial oxygen deprivation caused damage that could not be repaired, and the brain tissue in that area continued to devolve.

I meant PET scans rather the CAT scans, my bad. The thing on the back of her head can be removed for the MRI. the husband has refused to give her PET or MRI scans. If he was so interested in Terri's wellbeing he would have tried every avenue in order to find out her true condition. To say she is gone without really knowing for sure is like saying you used a leech to cure someone and becuase it didnt work then there is no hope.

Chuk, what benefit do you suppose that these scans would deliver? Many doctors have diagnosed her condition and it has been upheld as a valid diagnosis by other medical professionals and the courts. Her cerebral cortex has turned to water. There will be no miracle that will grow it back. I'd suggest you donate your brain to her, but it would be cruel to even take something so small from someone so lacking.

Damn! It is so clear now! Yeah, he just wants to murder her! I say we unplug him!
