Thumbs up Spousal Agro Quest: Spoiler.

I have found that one is able to alleviate "spousal agro" by doing the "Wakening Lands Flower Quest". Here are the steps I take:

You say: 'Hail, Wife01!'
Wife01 scowls ready to attack! She looks like she will rip your balls off!
Wife01 says: You will not ruin my marriage Lurikeen prepare to die!
Your gate becomes unstable and the portal closes!
You have been hit by Shock of Divorce and taken 50,000 points of damage!
Your spell fizzles!
Your spell fizzles!
You begin casting Gate.
Zoning Please Wait...
You have entered Wakening Land.
You say: 'Hail, a FTD Florist!'
A FTD Florist says: 'Lurikeen, many have come to me for this [quest] to remove spousal agro and continue playing in Norrath.'
Lurikeen says: 'What quest?'
A FTD Florist says: 'You must find a [wallet] and pay 100pp for a dozen of the finest flowers hand cut in Wakening Lands.'
Lurikeen says: 'What wallet?'
A FTD Florists bonks you on the head!
A FTD Florist says: 'It is the container you use to hold plats you idiot. Now do you [want] the flowers or not?'
You say: 'I want the flowers A FTD Florist'.
You give A FTD Florist 100pp!
You begin to cast Gate.
Zoning Please Wait...
You have entered the House!
Lurikeen Auctions: Donating for Enchy to Charm spouse, will pay dearly!
OneofYourChildren tells you: 'Hail, daddy!'
You say: 'Hail, a Son!'
OneofYourChildren tells you: 'Daddy I can help you, but it will cost you dearly. I need a Fungi for my twink and a full suit of Melodic for my Bard.'
You say to OneofYourChildren: 'You drive a hard bargain, please do Charm Wife01 so I can turn in the Wakening Land Flowers!'
OneofYourChildren begins to cast a spell!
Wife01 looks Tranquil and under control!
OneofYourChildren tells you: 'Quick Daddy turn in the flowers before my charm breaks!'
You give Wife01 the Wakening Land Flowers.
Congratulations you have gained experience!
OneofYourChildren tells you: 'Zoning to bedroom to break charm'
You say to OneofYourChildren: 'KK and thanks for the hand!'
OneofYourChildren says: NP d00d!
Wife01 regards you amiably. She looks like she will rip your balls off!
You say: 'Hail, Wife01'
Wife01 says to you: 'Thank you for the Wakening Land Flowers. They are so beautiful! After dinner why don't you play your game, then come to bed?'
Lurikeen purrs at Wife01!

Well that is the spoiler for the quest. Good luck to you all!

or you can do the "Get spouse hooked on the game too" quest - usually becomes cheaper the longer the quest goes, as the spouse becomes addicted to the quest - then supplements it themselves.

Dunno about cheaper in the long run to get the wife hooked:

Second computer: $1500
Upgrading to cable: $300
Monthly cable subscription: $30
Switched LAN installation: $200
Being able to play in relative peace: priceless

Lol its glad to know im not the only one with similar problems. I had EQ down for 3 weeks due to no internet connection so had lot of time to build up faction. As soon as I get back online all it takes is for a couple of hours and faction is max KOS already. Can you believe it?!!

Ive given up on the faction game. Even though I confine myself to two long sessions a week, which I only start from 10-11pm after wife has gone to bed - so no "daytime/quality time" is wasted, Ill still get aggroed. Now I have learnt to let the grumbling just wash off me.

I mean, if I had what she would consider a meaningful hobby e.g. going to watch football, she would not groan if i was out for a whole day on saturday, but just because its a silly computer game, its a waste of time.

As for getting her to learn how to play? rofl. She sat down and tried to play GTA and after 3 minutes got annoyed because she could not control speed on the car at a set speed (was on keyboard). Then proceeded to have an argument.

why not. sham gate potions and thurg gate potion already allow you to gate to more than 1 place. if you had ranger bp you could theoretically gate to 3 places.

I have done that quest many times its the only one i really know how to do. That doesnt mean i can complete the quest its a 50/50 chance you take.

As far as getting her to play i wished it would make life so much easier and i would get alot more sleep

I tried a sneaky way.... I created a female monk with my fiancee's real name, showed her how to do a few things, and tried to get her to play. The orc pawns outside Freeport scared her, and she wanted to stop. She hasn't been willing to try since ;(

Even uttered the words "Monks are tough and kick some serious ass, just like you!"

What I meant was "monks take lots of naps, hit you 20 times a second when you do something wrong, and once in awhile (once a month perhaps) have the ability to make others 'very afraid' of them, just like you!

I kept the character, and whenever I was mad at her I could just pull a train and watch her get mauled by bears! Very therapeutic!

going to my psychiatrist to work out some anger issues now.....

lol
