Default Troy

I really like the new twists in this movie. They wrote this part where the greeks build a huge wooden horse and people are inside of it!!! omg. And also they made achilles get it in the achilles tendon. These were very surprising but extremely enjoyable additions to the battle for troy story.

I thought it was gonna be an over done "hollywood hunk" movie, but it was actually quite good. Albeit, I came way too close to seeing Orlando Bloom and Brad Pitt's wangs....it was still good.

I still fucking hate Orlando Bloom though.

I know you were being sarcastic about the story being changes.

I find this funny, because way back when the 'new' Romeo and Juliet came out with Decaprio I was watching it with my wife (at a dollar theatre) and we had 2 stupid chicks behind us.

I got to sit there and listen to one 'whisper' ..."Get up, get up"... while the other keeps saying ... "they can't really die. Everyone dies?" ...

I know Hollywood takes liberties often, but I don't see them changing the story so that everyone lives and we can go home happy. My wife and I were impressed with their knowledge of literature. Okay, not really, but we got a laugh at least.

Overall, it was an enjoyable film.

Definatly some liberties taken with the story though, the most glaring one being the omission of.. 10 years time :P

All I gotta say though, WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THE JUMPING MOVE, MR PITT? Lol. Gayest.. move.. ever.

All i can say is sex scene = wtf? I wish i could do that. Good movie other than that... taking out the trivial parts of stories (10 years time wasted) seems pretty normal for movies based on old books like troy and lord of the rings.

Good movie, it was entertaining so I guess it accomplished its goal. Movie of the year? No.

I just watched it and I can say that it was fucking awesome, even though it wasn't entirely according to the Illiad. Go see it, you won't be disappointed, unless your prudish or something.

Oh yeah, I can't resist when anyone sets themselves up for a homo attack

/em goes back to whacking off to Brad Pitt

did they even have the relationship between Achilles and Patroclus? Just wondering, although I will see it when I have some spare time.

I'm surprised this thread has gone on this long without a comment about the "hung like a hamster" quote.
