The Americas Army assault was probably the coolest thing. Everything else was pretty par for the course. I have to qualify that. WHen I say par I mean it was awesome like normal and there are a lot of games/consoles/hardware to get excited about in the comming year if you are a complete geek. The only time I think e3 really shines over and above all the others is when a new console is about to debut. And I dont mean a handheld or the PoS phantom.

I had fun! The PSP and MGS3 stole the show for me, Sure Zelda was a nice surprised welcome but without more then a single video it couldn't win the show... but MGS3... god! I so can't wait for its release....

For some reason I just dont get excited about handhelds. Yes I think the Gameboy DS and PSP are both really cool and I will probably end up owning one or maybe both. MGS3 is definately something to get creamy over. Im with banton too. I think Nintendo could have done a lot better as far as shock value on many levels, not just with zelda but all around.

Right because you need blood and guts and tits and guns to make a game mature. I'm sorry I forgot that.

The fe things I thought were of interest:

Halo2 -- Horray for a release date. I have been waiting for Halo 2 for almost 2 years now, having played Halo far too many times to count and STILL not bored with it.

Dragon Age -- From the makers of Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire... holds a lot of promise if they can deliver. Thumbs up on dumping Atari and it's IP (Dungeons and Dragons) with this next gen FRP game.

Nintendo -- How many handheld pieces of crap are they gunna make. I'll pass on the Nintendo DS, looks like a gimmicky thing to me (but I bet every kid will want one in thier stocking this year). Oh, and don't get me started on Donkey Konga... buy a $40 controller to play one game. Yeah, that will fly.

Atari -- New Forgotten Realms games, yay. Will be enjoyable but wonder if it will play with my DVD drive. They need to rethink their stone age copy protection schemes.

That reminded me of the huge ass delay of C&C: Tiberian Sun. And yet, that game was so not worth the wait.

I'm one of the people that disliked Halo. And I mean a lot.

I haven't touched our X-Box yet because I can't seem to find any games that look interesting. Halo seems a little over hyped. I'm looking for more along the lines of adventure/platform/action games, not First person shooters, fighters, or military/spy simulation games.
