In short, Clinton lied under oath to get the case dismissed.
Well, its probably more likely, given the nature of what he lied about and the lies he made, that he lied to save himself embarassment and family problems, not to get the case dismissed.

Well, as long as he saved himself embarassment and family problems...

As I said before that's between his family, not me.

And Congress who he lied to UNDER OATH.

I know you don't count lying as a bad thing. Most of society does.

Isn't the point that he was in a position of power and allegedly used that position to harass a female subordinate ... how illegal that was or was not could be argued ... interesting link discusses tangential violations of the law even if the harassment itself is not considered illegal ... http://www.fairmeasures.com/issues/h...nt/default.asp but lying about it IN COURT IS ILLEGAL ... regardless of how trivial the lie is. It is compounded by the fact the the gentleman is an accredited lawyer himself and knows better. I am sure there are ways to have had his testimony kept secret (sealed) so that it would not become public knowledge, but my guess is that he knew that his testimony wouldn't be considered merely embarrassing, but would in fact corroborate to a great extent the plaintiff's case.

Excellent. That means that President Bush has acted according to his morals, and that makes him right.

He didn't harass Monica, the actions were consensual.

Apparantly HE thought he lied to Congress, no matter how YOU would like to revise your God's actions.
