Default He did it again!

I don't know why George Lucas couldn't have left well enough alone. First, he tries to change Han Solo's character (in every sense of the word) by having Greedo shoot first when he redid A New Hope. And now, he's ruined the ending of Return of the Jedi. I don't know if any of you have been watching the films on Cinemax, but at the very end, when the spirit of Anakin joins the spirits of Yoda and Obi Wan, it is now the young Anakin from episodes 2 and 3, instead of the original.

Stop it!

Did anyone pick up the newest releases of the original 3? Qui Gon joins them as well.

That's just dumb, considering Luke Skywalker doesn't even know who that is, and he's never mentioned in the first 3.

ARGH!

You're talking about the release of the Original/Re-done dvd's? Remember they contain 2 versions of the movies on there. Theatrical release and the Lucas - revised revised revised history versions.

I have too many versions of these things. I do not plan to buy them again...even if it goes Bluray or whatever freaking format they choose. Ok, notice I did say "plan"...I'll probably be a sucker again.

4/5/6 on vhs original format - Han shot first
4/5/6 on vhs aniiversary edition - first dabbling by Lucas - Greedo shot first
4/5/6 first dvd release - more dabbling(new Anakin at death scene) - both fire close together
4/5/6 latest dvd release - even more dabbling(assuming this is the one with Quigon as well but haven't had time to watch it yet) + original release(which was just ripped from the original Laser Disc so it's not true widescreen - Han shot first)

I also preferred the original Ewok celebration music at the end of RotJ which is only in the original theatrical release.
Not including the 1/2/3 releases here.

This sucks, because I never did by the original trilogy on DVD, and now I don't think I will.

why? simple. they are amoung the first thx mastered versions out there and as far as i can tell. still sound the best.

not to mention the unfucked up storyline.

Some kind soul put out a trio of torrents of the Laser Discs... I have those and I'm getting the "untouched" versions for Christmas... I'm officially out on Lucas redoing the movies. Hell, he might "own" them as the creator, but we're the ones who made him a multibillionaire...
