No idea what's going on with EQ. I'm too busy cramming the new WoW release before I take off to India and Sri Lanka for the month of January. Should be a fun bit of culture shock

Hey Davek!

I downloaded EQ 1 and played for free for about an hour and decided...too much to do. So, I downloaded Dragons Nest and playing for free (level 18 mage!). The PVE is pretty good with some content so far. You can go in and play for an hour or so and accomplish quite a bit!

I haven't been to this forum for a bit. I started playing WoW again. The new expansion is a bit more addictive than the two previous ones. They added garrisons with followers and tasks that you can assign. It's kind of like Family Guy: A Quest for Stuff... but applied to WoW.

Davek, regardless of what you are, you should only celebrate American holidays.... on the days they are scheduled! That way I wouldn't forget and ask you a dumb question like I did, thank you very much!

Mart, I was kicking butt in Wow... but it took up too much of my time. I am a freaking old man now, ya know!? How long have we all been on this board? Yeah! My oldest has graduated and I dont even know if you guys know about my 8 year old! lol!

Its always the winter months that make me think about online gaming... I guess its because of it getting dark early...and cold..

I think I may try Project 1999. I played Shards of Delaya a few years ago, which is a clone of EQ pretty much up through Luclin. They took some liberty with the mobs and zones...and the experience penalty.... you don't lose exp, but you go into exp debt and have to earn back what you lost before you can start progressing again.

Project 1999 is fun. It has some interesting tweaks you can play, such as the accelerated server where you can level to max in no time.
