Any Texans going to this? Drysdale? Pinkheart? Other people semi-nearby?

Just wondering. This'll be my first time at one even though I've been meaning to go since the mid-90s. It's opening weekend and one of my friends got a pair of free passes.

Very cool to have a friend with free passes. I'll be going in 2 weeks - I usually go once a year. There's a group of friends we've been going with for probably 2 decades now. It's a fun time (although this year we're going for pre-Halloween Sat, and I suspect it will be really, really crowded - but oh well). Now that I've got kids, I pass on the more bawdy entertainment - in a couple of years the kids will be old enough for the Ded Bob show and Tavern Wrenches. Have a great time!

No idea if the jousting crew will be there opening weekend since it's Oktoberfest-themed. One of their trainers was a fellow mod for a game a few years ago.

Leaving in about 4 hours. Looks like I'm driving ><

We ended up staying overnight and landing two more free passes literally 10 seconds before we bought our next day's tickets. The salesgirl gave us this look like we were cheating, but whatever.

We're thinking of scouting out some of the other organizations around TX, but probably will stick to either Scarborough or TRF when we bring a group with us. Probably will be back down at TRF this season, actually.
