How many folks have signed up for this and are actively using this out of curiosity?

I work, I go home, I play EQ, I sleep (I need help). Would be a waste of my cash at the moment.

Beta tested it. Very stable and no lag for the football game. It came with a headset so you could talk to your opponent. I was impressed since it is MS.

I have a few friends who have it (we've been an X-Box group since Halo ;P) and will get it once I get a cable modem.
The lag is nearly non-existant, even in large games with lotsa players on the same screen. You've got enough players to where if you want to play a game, you can play that game type within a minute easily. For the most part, the people have been fun to play with. There's some crappy players, and some good players, so you've always got someone to slaughter and someone to aspire to. The voice thing is really cool. You cant taunt and joke around with other people in the game. If you dont' want them hearing your real voice, there's mods you can select to modify your voice (into a robot, etc) Two fun games out that I've played, UnrealChampionship and MechAssault. Former is fun and fast paced, and the latter can be repetitive, but can be fun. Look for RevShaddow or Snoogenz

I got one and it was basically what sold me on the x box. I enjoy play mechassault and my latest toy, splinter cell. The addition of being able to download extra levels and ect just make the thing all the more sweeter.

I've got both XBox Live3 and the PS2 Network Adapter, and XBox live is much easier, much more user-friendly, and much more reliable. The difference is in the XBox's hard drive. PS2 has to save all its settings and game patches to an 8 MB memory card and is a little more of a pain in the butt as a result.

I told my wife if she wanted to buy me a console game system, that would be the one I would want. Why? Because she won't play games with me on those things, so until I get a 12 year old son to play football with I would need to play online
![]() I am tempted to get one... sooo tempted.

XBox Live truly does rock. Easy and reliable. Makes the PS2 Network Adapter look like a broken toy.
