Default Oops!

Looks like a big oops

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - The al-Qaida suspect named by U.S. officials as the source of information that led to this week’s terrorist alerts was working undercover, Pakistani intelligence sources said Friday, putting an end to the sting operation and forcing Pakistan to hide the man in a secret location.

Under pressure to justify the alerts in three Northeastern cities, U.S. officials confirmed a report by The New York Times that the man, Mohammad Naeem Noor Khan, was the source of the intelligence that led to the decision.

A Pakistani intelligence source told Reuters on Friday that Khan, who was arrested in Lahore secretly last month, had been actively cooperating with intelligence agents to help catch al-Qaida operatives when his name appeared in U.S. newspapers.

If true, this is a big fuckup.

Having so many different intelligence agencies so segmented appart, when information travels, it gets to be like this. The cia is currently broken and has been a long time, they need to find someone willing to take the mess over and fix it. What probably happened was the reports of information got passed around, and somewhere along the line somebody lost the hes working with us now part, and then somebody goes oo look at this and ships it off to the scare engines. They shouldnt of released the name to the newspaper, if the information had stayed together they wouldnt of. The newspaper and intelligence agencies are both to blame for this.

“After his capture [in July], he admitted being an al-Qaida member and agreed to send e-mails to his contacts,” a Pakistani intelligence source told Reuters. “He sent encoded e-mails and received encoded replies. He’s a great hacker, and even the U.S. agents said he was a computer whiz.”
I think that a significant opportunity in “The Struggle Against Ideological Extremists Who Do Not Believe In Free Societies Who Happen to Use Terror as a Weapon… To Try to Shake The Conscience of the Free World.”( i.e. The War on Terror) has been seriously fucked up, but somehow noone is seeming to give a shit. Only one major media outlet is carrying the story and that's just sad. Perhaps the war on terror is just BS.

Maybe the other news outlets are waiting for this info to pan out and see if its true or maybe they realize that the war on terror is so difficult there are bound to be some mistakes made.

This is only common sense, and it makes sense. No one is perfect.

As for this,

Having so many different intelligence agencies so segmented appart, when information travels, it gets to be like this
This also is to be expected. You have all these different agencies with all this information, credible or not, but they aren't communicating with each other as a team. Lack of communication is a major cause of problems, and no one knows for sure what exactly is going on these days, and that is why shit like this happens.
