No, he and Obama were the only ones in the room when he heard (first-hand) what was said. Now, if he wasn't in the room and got the info from someone that was, THAT would be hearsay.

No shit, come spend a summer in MS. It's usually fucking sticky outside. They say that it's not the heat, it's the humidity? Yeah, down here, it's both. If I could trade places with you, I would.

Naw, my AC is out atm and it was around 35 Celsius (that's close to 95 for ya) for a good chunk of the afternoon/evening in my place. Should be repaired later today.

Yeah, I can see how you wouldn't enjoy that.

But try it with the humidity we have to live with sometime!

Still, for a Canuck, 95 must be torture.

I used to have a roommate from Dallas, and it was always funny watching him get bundled up for winter. You'd think he was on an expedition to the North Pole or something.

That was one of my favorite things living in Boston- seeing the college kids from warmer climates go from the 80s and 90s they arrived to in August/September ("Cool, I can do this- not so different from home!") to 40s in November and already sporting full hats/gloves/scarves ("Wow it's cold up here!"), while thinking of how early February was going to treat them (*teethchattering*).

You folks obviously haven't been here during the summer (especially during heat waves).

Humidity is a way of life.

We can have the wildest temp swings sometimes. I recall a day a couple of years ago where we pretty much had everything imaginable. A storm front was going through, started off below zero and snowing, warmed up started raining. Things cleared, sun came out and the day wound up in the high 20's/low 30's(celsius that is).

We do get the hot weather, it just doesn't last quite as long. We've had people up from Texas and Australia (Redwing and Tsurwolf) during one of our heatwaves and they bitched about it.

In all fairness, bitching about the heat is second nature to Texans.

Same in Mississippi. I've lived either here or Alabama my whole life, and I've never gotten used to it. Fucking hate it!

See, that I can handle. Mid-40s is medium jacket weather at most. Granted, I'm still about 60 pounds overweight, so I gots me some extra insulation, but I don't think I'll ever get to where I enjoy the summer.
