Default No More Crusades - R.I.P.

To anyone left in the community these days...

Wanted to leave a quick note to let the old 'venters' know that Chiteng passed away recently. His wife (yes, he really was married) let me know about a week after it happened.

He was thoroughly addicted to this community and loved fighting with everyone. Chiteng in 'real-life' was not that dissimilar from the man you all got to know...and be irritated by...but he was also much more (as we all are) and was a very good friend of mine. I wish he had been less extreme so maybe some other people could have known him better.

Love your friends and family every day.

Kanya

Had some good times butting heads with the brick wall. We got a bit personal with some of our flames, but it was never so awful that we couldn't shoot the shit about other things. As much as people equated him with grudges, our later conversations showed no sign of that.

Sorry to hear he's gone. He may have been against the popular opinion of this community for years, but his presence definitely helped keep the place active.

I'm saddened to hear that he's passed. He had a lot of passion ("Crusader" certainly fit him to a T) and cared deeply to about his ideas of social justice. He certainly made this a much more lively and interesting place - I knew anytime he'd respond to a thread, there's be at least two dozen posts of protest & outrage to follow. So, I raise a toast to his spirit, and if there is a Heaven, I'm sure St. Peter is getting his ear talked off right about now about all the injustices that need to be corrected ASAP, if not sooner.

Here's to one of the interesting and controversial people that have graced us here over the years. If there's anything in the great beyond, hopefully he can find some peace. If he can't find peace then let him stir the pot some more!

He had such a unique personality here. It's really a shame.. I enjoyed the conversations we had and he did such a great job of riding the line between provocative and insulting.

I hope he was happy offline. I hope that for everyone, though.

Thanks, Chit. Thanks for being a part of it. :-)

So perfectly stated.

Though he and I certainly went head to head over, well, nearly everything EQ related... I am very saddened by this news. I like to think that what happens in game, stays in game and, hopefully, he didn't give all of our bullshit a second thought in his personal life.

May he rest in peace.

Now Chit... if you can read this now... if they don't let you into Heaven, don't be scaling the pearly gates or crossing the river of life to get in...

Why shouldn't you joke about death?

People think that if they take it seriously and don't talk about it that it won't happen to them. (Spoiler: It will)

this alone will 'make his afterlife'.

he always held you in the highest regard.

of course, everyone should...and anyone who doesn't is clearly imbalanced and needs to be medicated!

HelloS,

just heard about this yesterday. While he was as stubborn as a Rock, Chiteng had a deep knowledge about the Game and his Monk Class and he is one of those Players i call one of those "Oldtimers" i met when i started to play on EM back in 99.

I think it might have been better for his Heart to not get so emotionally involved into all those Discussions about "our Game".

RIP ole Monk.

Cheers
