I'm debating it, and a few friends are too. For me it will come down to further details on both EQ2 and WoW. Will make a decision from there, WoW looks to be superb but its sooo far away.

Plan to build a new system either way, so that shouldn't be a problem meeting the specs. Who knows, its a toss up.

Probably. Its either this or WoW. It doesn't come out until next year so I'm not gonna drool over it right now.

Default Hmm

Only reason i am interested in EQ 2 is because its EQ in the future, theres still some of the same zones (alot better looking though) and still the same basic story prety much. It looks a thousand times better and still seems to stay true to EQ. If enough people want to play EQ2, before it comes out, we should get a list of people together for a guild. That way, we already have a group of people who know what they're doing and we'd be the first good guild

I won't be playing EQ2. I might play WoW, but definately not EQ2. With Sony's lack of brains/customer service/design ability as of late I doubt thier current dev team would/could produce a product I would want to play. Recent Enchanter nerfs, non-existant customer service and crappy game design in tier 1-2 PoP zones have left me flat.

A fast word/thread-jack on PoP design; Don't you feel like you are level 25 back in the Karana's??? Sure mobs hit hard but so did the Gnolls way back then. Who designed this drabble, I did better designing my own NWN module. And to foist it on the general public and pacifying them with an outrageous ZEM...what a load....

Still playing EQ but only by a thread is....

I'll be playing the moment it goes live, but ONLY until Sigil releases their game. That's the next frontier for me. Sony's too hell bent on stroking the "Gimme God-mode" crowd for my liking.

The problem with EQ1 is that, according to the people involved with EQ2, is that it was never meant to be as big as it was or last as long as it did. They knew this from the start, but they had no real choice but to keep it alive. So they put out Kunark and the shits been rolling down hill ever since. They know Kunark fucked the game, but what would ya have them do? Give up millions and keep the basic game they way it was, execpt some patches, for four year?

I like to think on the brighter side, they made all these boneheaded mistakes. How could they make them again? If you dont want to play EQ2, then don't, but if you were any kind of MMORPG gamer you have to get them another chance.

How about we play a) what is fun and b) what is engaging. No-one knows if either WoW or EQ2 will be either.

Blizzard make very fun and addictive games, but very repetitive games. They'll need to break out of the same-old same-old routine if they expect WoW to be anything great. It'll be well made, it'll be polished, and it'll be slightly retro. I just hope it's not the randomly generated repetitive addictions their previous games have been. That probably comes off as weird, but that's how Blizzard games have been...

As for EQ2? Sony should stick to what they're best at; making fairly good quality electronic products.

I would wager that the majority of EQ1 players will play EQ2. Even the ones who yell and scream about how shitty sony is. I think I would win that wager.........

No truer words have ever been spoken.

I can't wait to see what Sigil is working on.
