Default Eminence, quick! Math help!

ok im going to have alot of questions cause i got a exam tomorrow. If you are given y=12x^2, how do you find the vertex, focus, and directrix?

could you put down the forumlas and Equations for all conic sections maybe?

Need to convert it to standard form of a parabola, which is:

(x-h)^2 = 4p(y-k)

(h,k) is the location of the vertex

4p is the distance of the focus from the vertex

and to find the directrix, you just take the distance from the vertex to the focus, and go the other way from the vertex.

Hope that helps, it may be wrong cause I never payed attention during precalc :P
