There is a WC in Kissimmee if you live near there
In Fort Lauderdale, 3 hours is a mighty long way to go when you've got the drunk munchies .

Just for grins I tried looking up a White Castle's in FL and there's none listed. Guessing they closed it down . There's a Krystal's not too far from me, think it just opened up. Not too bad from what I remember but still just not the same as WC .

Hah, yeah, my roommate is from southern Jersey. I know he's spoken of WC's before, so there's gotta be some around somewhere.

I've been in MS and AL all my life and the only place I've seen White Castle is in the movies and in the freezer section of the grocery store. We have plenty of Krystal's around here, but I rarely am ever in the mood for those gutbombs.

The only place I've ever seen a White Castle is on the road in Kentucky (and perhaps a couple in Ohio).

My roomie's quite fond of road trips, so it may well be that he actually travels just for White Castle... stranger things have happened

I wish I could remember where he lives... Atlantic side, and pretty far south... but that's about the best I can do. Something Beach... but that's like saying he lives in "Something City."

When I joined the USMC and left Michigan, I was shipped to MCRD San Diego, and I missed White Castle horribly. I was stationed in Cali pretty much my whole time in, and when I got out, I moved to Reno, NV. Still no White Castle anywhere to be found...except the freezer section at the grocery store. Tried em, and promptly dismissed their foulness to being frozen.

Then 'lo and behold, in '95 my wife conceeded and moved back to Michigan with me. Not for the White Castles mind you. However, the first and only one I found while back there, I promptly pulled into and raved to my wife about their wonderful burgers...Then we went inside.

Freakin' bums, hookers and pimps littered the place. My wife almost started to shake from fear immediately. I didn't care! We were at WHITE CASTLE! I ordered, she ordered, we got it to go. When we got our order, we went to our car, and opened our great dinner and....

The burgers tasted as foul as the frozen ones. We dumped 'em and went searching for the nearest McD's, BK or Wendy's. I never stepped foot in a White Castle again, and never will. My how our tastes change as we grow up

By the way, the only thing that bothers me about In-N-Out is that sometimes the lines inside are way long...and so is the line of cars outside. Sometimes I've had to wait 30 minutes for my lunch...but the reason they are so busy is that the food is great.

Best burger I ever had was at a local place called Stamps Superburger. Have to get a small burger, though, because even those are huge. They also have some excellent home-cut lemon pepper fries. Best franchise burger has to go to Wendy's double stack with cheese. We don't have an In-and-Out here, but I have heard about 'em.

So technically Marti, you're not really In-n-out? You're more along the lines of In-n-stuckforawhile?

Yeah, but I think it's because the restaurant in question is smack in the middle of about 100 outlet stores.

I know I won't be playing in 4 years. I left the game for over a year, and now have reactivated to keep me entertained until DDO comes out. I tried WoW, which was fun until I got to 60... then I tried Eq 2 which was fun until I realized the game is a huge failure and boring, with zero challenge. I am very much looking forward to DDO to play with my hubby and a couple friends from my guild on EQ.

P.S. White Castle burgers are raw and taste like puke, we don't have them in Tx, they tried and went out of business.

I miss Rumplemayer's in NYC. Can't really remember what the burgers tasted like, but at how many places can you order escargot, a burger, and a lemon sorbet without catching funny looks from your server?
