Out of curiosity, is anyone in the shadowbane beta? I was just interested in knowing if any other Emarrians are in it besides me.

I just got accepted into the Beta today, but I get a blank webpage when I'm trying to download the zip (from work which may be cut out because of the proxy). I'm going to try the download from home and see if it works any better. Anyone have any info on the size of the zip download (in Megs)? Also, what do you guys think so far?

With all the server side debugging going on, its hard to get a good opinion of the game.

From my very limited experience...

I like the character development. There definitely won't be any cookie cutter class setups.

Character advancement is a bit lacking. It cost not only training points or creation points, but a sizable amount of your gold as well.

Everything is damn expensive, good thing those snakes drop a fair amount of gold.

I thought I would hate the point click movement process for my character, but it's actually not bad at all.

I'm not sold on the way the game loads graphics. Instead of loading an entire zone, the game constantly loads as you walk around. I like the "no zoning" concept, but I'm seeing alot of graphical lag with this process.

With the testing going on, its hard to do much. I'm seeing alot of "rubber banding" and server side lag. (Rubber banding is where you move to a spot, and then pop back to the spot you started from)

Again, Ive only played a couple weeks, so I'm sure someone out there has alot more or a better feel than I do. I'm a tad wary though with the game supposedly being released in 2 weeks.
