If you've never been, come visit the beauty of the pacificNW. come to portland, and see the mountains, forests and beaches and things.. it's SO nice here. go up to seattle and see that city (the sound is fun area) downtown Sea-town is pretty fun. Then shoot down to The City (san fran) and spend time walki'n the streets and seeing the sights.. a fuggin' FUN city to hang out.. i recommend flying into seattle, takin' the AmTrak train trip down the coast from Seattle to Portland, then from PDX to SFO.. then rent a car, drive to napa (hour north of SFO) and do Napa Valley (a day cruisin the few DOZEN vineyards takin' free samples and gettin' sloppy on the back roads is fun).. then cruise down to LA and visit that smelly overcrowded dump and fly back to where you are.

-(born-n-raised on east coast, came to Portland on vacation.. ..

Come to Minnesota, it is hot, humid and we have lots of bugs. But Jesse "The Mind" Ventura is the Governer, so it ain't all that bad!!

Your all way off...

Come to Detroit, and see the beauty of a yellow tainted skyline as smoke stacks billow noxious fumes into the environment. Inhale the fumes and enjoy... Take in the scenic beauty of a town from the era of the industrial revolution.

Actually Michigan has some beautiful areas with more miles of beaches than any state in the contiguous 48. Detroit's just not a great tourist stop... :)

Bah, I've seen all those places & I think you should come to Texas. Hell, if you worry about the weather a lot. Don't worry, just wait 5 min & then it'll be different. I think we are the only state to have it raining when there is not any clouds near, hehe. The people are nice & the parties are non-stop. You an go to down-town Dallas & visit all the meat lockers, er um, clubs :) Plus, ya got the lakes, wind, beautiful women, wind, ungodly amounts of traffic, wind, & oh did I forget, wind, hehe. Bah, Oregon is for the druids. Those bunch of tree huggers, hehe. Michigan, bah again. Those are for the Necros since they like that poisonous air, hehe. Oklahoma, umm, I'm not even gonna go there, hehe. No offense to any of those states. I've lived in them all & there are bits & pieces I still miss from them.

Fenrizar, don't even think it's close.

www.state.mi.us/dmb/mic/news/trivia.htm - is a Michigan fact website stating Michigan has 3,288 Miles of Coastline (2nd only to Alaska).

Michigan has more coastline than the entire atlantic coastline I believe is one of the fact's I read somewhere recently (one of those state tour booklets trying to lure vacationers). Remember we have 2 large peninsulas making up our state. Both surrounded mainly by water (around 20-25% of the fresh water in the world).

Anyhow enough of the Michigan Trivia, Vrinn I'd go to California for my vacation if I were you.. :)
